Packaging Myself was the name of the brief where we had to create a cereal box design using our name for the cereal. I made all the faces of the box in adobe illustrator using symbols and shapes for the patterns. I created the squirrel character first by sketching several designs out on paper then scanning them in to trace with the pen tool in illustrator.
The character went through several phases of outlines, colour and then shading. Finally once all of the pieces of the box were created I used Illustrator's 3D Bevel option to create the box and mapped each of the faces as a texture. The end result was a 3D mockup render of what the box would actually look like.
